Expected results and impact


The main expected results of the project
“Establishment of a transnational network of adult education providers for the promotion
of social inclusion of vulnerable groups” – STEP UP
are as follows:
  • Establishment of a new network of adult education providers implementing cultural activities for promoting the social inclusion of vulnerable groups;
  • Increase the visibility of the network;
  • Collection and exchange of good practices among the consortium’s partners;
  • Enhance the capacity of the consortium’s partners as well as of relevant organizations, authorities and professionals at national/regional/local level to design and implement cultural activities for the promotion of social inclusion of vulnerable groups;
  • Pilot implementation and assessment of selected good practices of artistic and cultural activities targeting vulnerable groups;
  • Production of a toolbox of good practices;
  • Enhance the capacity of trainers to design and implement artistic and cultural activities targeting vulnerable groups;
  • Production of a manual on how to design and deliver cultural activities, as an educational method, to vulnerable groups;
  • Production of a policy recommendations report;
  • Strengthen the dialogue concerning the impact of the implementation of artistic and cultural activities in promoting the social inclusion of vulnerable groups at the European, national, regional and local level;
  • Increase of the impact of the partner organizations at local, national and European level.

Concerning the expected impact of the project, the partners’ overall aim is to strengthen the dialogue concerning the impact of the implementation of artistic and cultural activities in promoting the social inclusion of vulnerable groups at the European, national, regional and local level.
Moreover, the project foresees the following impact for the various target groups:

Direct Groups


Consortium’s partners

The participation of the consortium’s partners in the activities will lead to the enhancement of their capacity to design and implement artistic and cultural activities for the promotion of social inclusion of vulnerable groups; partners will have access to a pool of good practices which they can implement in order to further increase their impact at local, regional, national and European level. In addition, through the project, the partners will also be supported in their efforts to advocate for an increase in the implementation of cultural and/or artistic activities for the promotion of social inclusion of vulnerable groups at the local, regional, national and European level.
Moreover, consortium’s partners can take advantage of the opportunities provided through EU channels and programme dissemination platforms as well as other international open platforms to raise awareness, disseminate results and support sustainability.

Authorities and organisations involved in adult education

Through the implementation of the project activities, the consortium foresees that it will enhance the capacity of authorities and organisations involved in adult education to design and implement artistic and cultural activities for the promotion of social inclusion of vulnerable groups; and enhance the efforts to improve communication and collaboration between different sectors and organisations to support vulnerable groups through relevant activities.

Indirect Groups


Disadvantaged groups facing deprivation and social exclusion

Through the project implementation, the consortium foresees that the participants can develop skills, build self-confidence and improve self-esteem. The potential adoption of relevant artistic and cultural activities by relevant authorities and organisations can lead to:
- enhance the participation of members of vulnerable groups in relevant activities;
- enhance the life skills development;
- enhance interaction and build/strengthen their social networks;
- contribute to their social inclusion.
